Collection of essays and legal documents
A collection of a number of essays with different writers and scribes. Some parts are devoted to the explanation of different types of marriage and divorce. In between the lines, there are a number of contracts and settlements, including lease, and sale settlements, but most of them are marriage contracts and divorce settlements. Dates of these contracts are mostly in 1840s. The first date is 13 January 1845 and the last date is 31 May 1893.

Malik Nisa‘ Khanum, the daughter of Ja‘far and the wife of the late Karbalayi ‘Ali, transfers her share of inheritance and mahr to Karbalayi ‘Ali's sons, Hasanquli, Husaynquli, and Ahmad, in exchange for 19 tumans and five thousand tumans.

Marriage contract between Fatimah Khanum with Aqa Muhammad Sadiq, 1871
Marriage contract between Fatimah Khanum, the daughter of Sayyid Ahmad, and Aqa Muhammad Sadiq, the son of Mirza Husayn, on July 16, 1871. The mahr includes 18 tumans cash, room's carpets worth 6 tumans, a qalamkar bed covering made in Isfahan worth four tumans, part of a building in Shaykh Zayn al-Din neighborhood, and a piece of land. A note on the verso reads as follows: "The bride received the mahr and nothing more is owed to her except half of her share of her husband's inheritance, which will be given to her when her late husband's debts are paid. Marriage contract between Maryam Khanum (Junjun Khanum) and Muhammad Ismaʻil, 1865
A marriage contract between Maryam Khanum (Junjun Khanum), the daughter of Haj Muhammad Shafiʻ, and Muhammad Ismaʻil, the son of Haj Muhammad Baqir on 8 May 1865. The mahr is 70 tumans (equal to 40 misqal gold), carpets and rugs for a room, part of a mansion, a garden, a qalamkar bed covering of 7 tuman. On the verso, there are two notes. The first one dates a settlement between the wife and husband on 8 May 1877 and states that since the husband has sold three of the properties in the mahr, he transfers the ownership of three other properties to his wife. Marriage contract between Zinat al-Nisaʼ Khanum with Aqa Muhammad Sadiq, 1854
Marriage contract between Zinat al-Nisaʼ Khanum, the daughter of Aqa ʻAli, and Muhammad Sadiq, the son of Mirza Husayn, on June 23, 1854. The mahr includes 30 tumans cash, a room's carpets, including a rug and a pair of felt rugs, a qalamkar bed covering, parts of some gardens and one sixth of a dyer's shop. These properties were part of the bridegroom's mother's mahr but went on to be included in the bride's mahr. Marriage contract of Fatimah Khanum, the daughter of Mirza Muhammad and Mirza Rahim, the son of Mirza Husayn, on April 11, 1868. The mahr includes 30 tumans cash, room carpets including a rug and felt worth 10 tumans, and a qalamkar bed covering made in Isfahan. It also includes some properties belonging to the bridegroom's mother, father, and paternal aunt, which were settled with the bridegroom and were then included in mahr. A note on the verso reads: "Aqa Mirza Rahim"

Marriage contract of Khadijah Sultan Khanum, daughter of Ustad Muhammad Husayn Saffar Harandi, and Ustad ‘Abbas, son of Ustad Isma‘il Saffar Harandi. The mahr includes three tumans and three thousand dinars. Marriage contract of Khayr al-Nisa’ and Ramazan ‘Ali, 1863
Marriage contract of Khayr al-Nisa’, daughter of the late Karbalayi ‘Abd al-‘Ali from Haji Mahal neighborhood of Lahijan, and Ramazan ‘Ali, son of Mirza Baba Muhammad from Lahijan. The mahr is sixty-six tumans and three thousand three hundred fifty dinars to buy Baghdadi wrapping cloth, some women's clothes, a gold ring, a gold talisman, and eight gold coins. The rest of the mahr as cash. On the margin: "The bride settled with her brother, Mirza Muhammad ‘Ali, exchanging twenty tumans for a set of clothes."

Marriage contract of Maʻsumah Khanum, daughter of Haj ʻAliyar resident of Tehran [illegible] Isfahan, and Abu Talib, son of ʻAli Riza. The mahr is twenty two tumans and five thousand dinars. Following this contract, the groom's father settled with the groom over one-sixth of a house located at [illegible] for ten [illegible] coins and ten loads of wheat.
